When you need to quickly identify suspicious IP addresses or analyze user geographic distribution, this tool provides city-level geolocation accuracy using authoritative IP databases. An IP (Internet Protocol) address is a digital identifier for internet devices. By parsing its allocated address block, the tool outputs multi-dimensional information including country, state/province, city, ISP, and network type.
How accurate are the IP geolocation results?
Accuracy depends on the update frequency of the IP database. This tool uses a hybrid database updated weekly, achieving a city-level accuracy of ≥92% locally and a country-level accuracy of ≥98% globally.
Why do some IPs only show the country?
International IPs often only allocate country-level routing information, and some VPNs or proxy IPs intentionally obscure their location data.
Please do not query private network IPs (e.g., 192.168.x.x). We recommend limiting bulk lookups to 1,000 entries per request. Results are for reference only and cannot be used as legal evidence. Enterprise users are advised to use our API for real-time data.
For security analysis scenarios, we recommend combining ASN numbers (e.g., AS4134) to filter IP blocks from specific ISPs. Typical enterprise use case: An e-commerce platform used IP geolocation to discover that 60% of anomalous orders originated from AS4766 (a specific IDC), thereby strengthening fraud detection in that region. Common input/output example: Input "202.96.128.68" outputs "China / Shanghai / Telecom / AS4812".
